Who is Laura?
About Me
I am a therapist in private practice with 18 years of clinical experience. I work with adults 18+ years old with diverse backgrounds of all walks of life in various life stages who have challenges with depression, anxiety, chronic health issues, perinatal mood disorders, relationship issues, grief/loss and trauma. I believe therapy is a way to gain insight,self-awareness, and improve overall well-being. We all have inner strength to overcome challenges and adversity. I will work with you on your journey and help you find that strength in a therapeutic and safe environment. You have already started the process just by embracing the therapy experience.

My passion is creating a therapeutic alliance and helping you reach your goals collaboratively. I take pride in developing a trusting relationship and using that trust to explore, process and create interventions that will ultimately allow you to grow, heal and find relief. I am here to offer support, an empathetic ear and prioritize being present with you as we work together. I believe there is a significant power of being present with each individual I work with, this presence is essential and effective in fostering the most optimal results for therapy.

My style is open, direct yet warm, honest, with a sense of humor. I favor a cognitive behavioral therapy modality of treatment, but also use an eclectic approach including motivational interviewing, strength based, psychodynamic, solution focused, and family systems. It is my privilege to be a part of your journey.

I am dedicated to providing client-centered therapy tailored to each individual's unique needs. My approach promotes self-discovery, resilience, and emotional well-being while maintaining a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment.
